Nicole M. Farris, 46, of the Jefferson County portion of Fenton has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for drug violations. She is a prior offender and her probation was revoked for prior drug offenses, court records show.
Farris on Dec. 17 pleaded guilty to second-degree drug trafficking and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Jefferson County Div. 1 Circuit Judge Joseph Rathert sentenced Farris to 16 years in prison for the drug trafficking charge and a total of 15 years in prison for the three possession charges, court documents said.
However, the sentences will be served concurrently, or at the same time, for a total of 16 years, according to court records.
Farris also had her probation revoked for prior drug offenses. She had pleaded guilty in February 2018 to four counts of possession of a controlled substance following arrests in Byrnes Mill in June and December 2016, court documents show.
She was sentenced to seven years in prison for each of the possession charges with the three charges from the June arrest and one charge from the December arrest to be served consecutively for a total of 14 years. However, that 14-year prison sentence will be served concurrently to the 16-year prison sentence, court records said.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Lindsay E. Whalen prosecuted the case.
Farris was charged with drug trafficking and possession following a March 2022 arrest in the Fenton area. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was informed she was selling fentanyl from a home in the 100 block of Flint Drive, the case’s probable-cause statement said.
When deputies went to the home to execute a search warrant, Farris was seen driving away from the home. She was stopped by a deputy, who found eight pill capsules with an unknown powder inside them in the vehicle and Farris had a bag containing an unknown powdery substance and $1,687 in her purse, the report said.
At the home, deputies found at least 50 pills and a bag with a powdery substance inside it, according to the report.
