Nearly $800 in tools recently was stolen from a home in the 5200 block of Country Club Drive in High Ridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Between 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21 and 9:45 a.m. Feb. 23, someone used a brick to break a basement window to get inside the home and then stole the tools, the report said.
An orange and white Stihl 170 chainsaw and an orange and white Stihl 250 chainsaw were stolen. In all, the chainsaws and damage to the window were estimated at $790 according to the report.
As of Friday (Feb. 27), the chainsaws had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
