The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $5,950 in tools from a construction site on Winding Bluffs Court in unincorporated Fenton where a new home is being built. The incident occurred between 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and 7 a.m. Oct. 22, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Someone who works at the site told investigators that when he arrived there on Oct. 22, he discovered a storage box containing a large number of tools was missing. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said Oct. 24 that the stolen items had not been recovered and no arrests had been made.
