A car was reported stolen from a storage unit at Cedar Hill Self Storage, 20 Pine Lane. The victim said he had not checked on his storage year in about a year before discovering the silver 1989 Ford Mustang GT missing, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office was notified about the theft on Feb. 6. The victim said the Mustang was worth about $50,000, the report said.
The victim said he had received new keys to his unit since the last time he had checked on the car because the unit had been broken into at some point during the past year, according to the report.
As of Feb. 9, the car had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
