The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a motorcycle from outside St. John Chrysostom Russian Orthodox Church, 3774 Gravois Road, in House Springs. The motorcycle, a 1989 Harley-Davidson, belongs to the church’s priest, Mikhail Volzhanskii, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft was reported at about 5:40 p.m. Feb. 7.
“It was parked there on Feb. 3,” Capt. Gary Higginbotham said. “It was not secured.”
He said the Sheriff’s Office didn’t have a value for the bike.
As of Feb. 15, the motorcycle had not been recovered and there were no arrests, Higginbotham said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
