The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office recovered a motorcycle the day after it was reported stolen from outside a home in the 6000 block of North Lakeside Drive in House Springs. The 1979 Kawasaki KZ650, valued at about $1,800, was returned to its owner, authorities reported.

The victim told investigators she had parked her motorcycle in her driveway at about 1 p.m. Aug. 10. She said she discovered it was gone at about 8 a.m. Aug. 11, the report said.

The motorcycle was found on Aug. 12 in House Springs, and the Sheriff’s Office reported it was damaged. The department did not say where the motorcycle was found or how extensively it was damaged.

As of Aug. 15, a suspect had not been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
