Motorcycle helmets and other items recently were stolen from an apartment complex garage/shed in the 1200 block of Stone Bluff Drive in the Fenton area. The theft happened between Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Stolen items included a black men’s helmet with a GoPro mount on one side and microphone mount on the other; a black women’s helmet with orange lettering and an intercom mount on it; a silver women’s helmet; two pairs of Harley-Davidson riding gloves and a red Porter Cable air compressor. In all, the items were valued at $1,120, the report said.
The Sheriff’s Office doesn’t know how the culprit got inside the garage. The victim told deputies he had put items away in the garage and closed the door on Dec. 7, but the next day, a property manager for the complex called and told him the garage door was open and that’s when he discovered the items were missing, according to the report.
As of Wednesday (Dec. 21), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
