The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at home in the 3400 block of Hi-Land Park Drive off Flucom Road east of De Soto, authorities reported.
The victim told deputies she returned home just before 6 p.m. Aug. 13 and saw two people running away from her house. She said her front door, which had been locked when she left at about 3:15 p.m. that day, was open, the report said.
Items valued at about $6,050 were stolen, including two Dell laptops, four diamond earrings and a necklace. There was no sign of forced entry, according to the report.
As of Aug. 24, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the burglary should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
