A video game store in unincorporated Fenton recently was burglarized, and an estimated $50,000 to $100,000 worth of collectible video games and other items were stolen. The burglary occurred at 4:39 a.m. Aug. 16 at Trade-N-Games, 1053 Gravois Road, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Someone forced entry through the glass front door, said Grant Bissell, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

“According to the business owner, the subjects took a large safe that weighed approximately 1,000 pounds,” Bissell said. “The store owner advised the safe contained $50,000 to $100,000 in collectible video games, a gun and other valuables.”

Bissell said Aug. 22 that none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
