Cash and jewelry worth more than $4,000 recently were stolen from a home in the 8000 block of Hillsboro House Springs Road in the Hillsboro area. The theft occurred between Dec. 24, 2016, and Feb.7, while the victim was hospitalized, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Stolen items included about $35 in cash, as well as gold and diamond anniversary and engagement rings. The rings were valued at $4,000, the report said.
There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
None of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests as of Wednesday (Feb. 15), Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He urges anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
