Eureka Police are trying to find a man who allegedly stole $370.82 worth of liquor from Walmart, 131 Eureka Towne Center Drive. The theft happened at about 7:10 a.m. Jan. 18, police reported.

A man wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt could be seen on surveillance footage loading a shopping cart with six bottles of Patron tequila, two bottles of Baileys Irish Cream and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka. Then, he reportedly pushed the cart into another aisle and removed security devices from the bottles and covered the liquor with his sweatshirt, the report said.

He then allegedly left the store at about 7:25 a.m. without paying for the liquor and got into a gray Chrysler sedan and left the parking lot, according to the report.

As of Feb. 1, none of the liquor had been recovered, and the man had not been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
