A gun, jewelry, guitars and other items recently were stolen from a home in the 3100 block of Shelley Lynn Drive in the Arnold area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The items, altogether valued at $20,000, were stolen between 2 a.m. Aug. 23 and 11 p.m. Aug. 26, while the victims were away on vacation, the report said.

Stolen items included a Mossberg shotgun, numerous pieces of jewelry valued at $10,000, several custom-made Fender guitars, several Fender amplifiers and prescription medication, according to the report.

A neighbor noticed that a rear window to the home was broken, and deputies found that a rear garage door and an interior door were open and items were missing, the report said.

In addition, deputies found a cigarette butt and fingerprints at the scene that the culprit may have left behind, and they were submitted as evidence, according to the report.

Once the victims were contacted, they listed the missing items.

As of Tuesday (Sept. 8), none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
