Antiques, paintings, jewelry and other items, altogether valued at $121,650, recently were stolen from a home in the 4200 block of Hansard Lane in the Hillsboro area. The burglary happened between Aug. 21 and Aug. 23, while the victim was staying with her mother in Ballwin, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

There were no signs of forced entry, but the victim said when she returned home, she found the front door cracked open, the report said.

In addition to numerous antiques, paintings and pieces of jewelry, stolen items included collectible photos and electronics. As of Aug. 26, none of the stolen items had been recovered, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said.

The victim said she suspected someone who previously lived with her of stealing the items. However, there were no arrests as of Aug. 26, Higginbotham said.

He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
