The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $1,950 worth of items from a home in the 7100 block of Hwy. 61-67 in Barnhart. The theft occurred between about 11 p.m. Sept. 9 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 10, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told deputies she left the back door to the house unlocked after she left for work. When she returned home, she discovered several items missing, including Dell and HP laptop computers, an LG smartphone, a Cannon SureShot camera and $200 in change, the report said.
As of Sept. 15, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
