Pevely Police Chief Mark Glenn said a man reportedly found a gun “in the middle of the street” on Abbey Lane just east of Commercial Boulevard (Hwy. 61-67) and took it to the Pevely Police Station.
The man turned over the gun to police at about 3:25 a.m. March 18, Glenn said.
“We are very appreciative that this person turned the handgun in to the Pevely Police Department,” Glenn said. “If you believe this may be your handgun, please respond to the Pevely Police Department with proof of ownership.”
