A 37-year-old Fenton man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a minivan from a home in the 2000 block of Waybridge in unincorporated Fenton. A 40-year-old Arnold woman was detained in connection with the incident but then released, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft occurred Aug. 10, and the minivan was later recovered at the Gravois Bluffs Plaza in the St. Louis County portion of Fenton, the report said.
The suspect reportedly used a hammer to break a rear glass door and then entered the home and stole the vehicle keys. A description of the vehicle was broadcast, and the St. Louis County Police Department located the minivan outside the Walmart store in the Gravois Bluffs Plaza, according to the report.
The minivan, valued at $8,000, was released to one of the victim’s relatives.
