Pevely Police are investigating a burglary at the Medicine Shoppe, 8640 Commercial Blvd. While medications were stolen, pharmacy staff members were conducting a full inventory to determine what and how much was missing, and as of today (June 25) Pevely Police had no received that information, the department reported.

Shortly before 11 a.m. May 29, officers responded to a call from the pharmacy after employees filling orders noticed several medications were missing. Security footage showed a suspect enter the store through a back door that had been left unlocked the night before when staff members were closing for the day and took out the trash, the report said.

The surveillance footage also reportedly showed a suspect take items from the shelves behind the counter. The suspect was wearing black pants and a black jacket with the hood pulled over his or her face and could be seen grabbing items from different shelves and putting them into a black bag, according to the report.

As of today, none of the stolen medication had been recovered and no arrests had been made, police reported. Anyone with information is urged to call Pevely Police at 636-475-5301.
