Eureka Police patch

Eureka Police are investigating the theft of supplements and a streaming device from Walgreens, 250 E. Fourth St. A man allegedly stole 30 boxes of various forms of Prevagen, a supplement taken to improve brain function and memory, as well as a Roku Premiere streaming device, authorities reported.

Officers received a report about the theft around 8 a.m. Jan. 9. Surveillance video showed a man enter the store and fill a basket with the items, which altogether were valued at about $2,100, and then leave the store without paying for them, the report said.

The man was then seen in the surveillance footage walking to the QuikTrip gas station, 290 E. Fourth St., and getting into a tan SUV that drove away, according to the report.

As of Jan. 13, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and the man had not been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
