Tyson Douglas Schrader, 21, of Washington has been accused of attacking a woman at the Super 8, 1733 W. Fifth St., in Eureka, according to court documents.
Schrader has been charged with three counts of felony third-degree domestic assault. He was released from jail on his own recognizance on Feb. 13, and he is scheduled to appear in St. Louis County Court on March 5, court records said.
According to a probable-cause statement filed by Eureka Police, officers were called on Feb. 2 to the hotel after Schrader was seen attacking the woman. The two had been in a relationship for about eight months.
Schrader allegedly hit the woman before taking her phone, and he also hit her with her phone. He also kicked her in the head and stomach, the report said.
Police reported portions of the assault were seen in surveillance video, and another person saw the alleged attack. Schrader also allegedly broke a window at the hotel, according to the report.
The detective who filed the probable-cause statement wrote that Schrader admitted to having a physical altercation with the woman, the report said.
