Festus Police are investigating the theft of a 2020 Chevrolet Malibu that had been parked in front of a residence. Police Chief Tim Lewis said the theft occurred sometime after midnight and before 11:40 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 200 block of North Third Street.
“The victim, a 67-year-old female, discovered the black Malibu missing at 11:40 a.m. and contacted police at 11:55 a.m.,” Lewis said. “The key was left inside the vehicle, which was unlocked.”
He said as of Oct. 11, the car had not been recovered and there are no suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call the Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
