A machete, an American flag, bicycles and tools recently were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Hillview Terrace in the Fenton area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The burglary occurred between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 25, when someone unlawfully entered the home through the unlocked front door and stole the items, the report said.

In addition to the machete and flag, stolen items included two girls' multi-colored Huffy bikes; a DeWalt cordless drill with a charger and two batteries; and a bucket filled with miscellaneous tools. In all, the items were valued at $630, according to the report.

As of Wednesday (March 9), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Maj. Ralph Brown of the Sheriff’s Office.
