The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a lawn mower from a High Ridge storage facility. The lawn mower was valued at $11,600, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft happened about 4 a.m. Aug. 12 at Haskins Storage, 2751 Little Antire Road. The business owner discovered a lock had been cut off the facility’s gate. In addition, a green zero-turn John Deere Z-19B lawn mower was stolen and driven through a section of a fence surrounding the property, causing about $600 in damage, the report said.
A golf cart from the business was found abandoned near the section of the fence that was damaged, according to the report.
As of Sept. 2, the lawn mower had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
