Several large kitchen appliances recently were stolen from a townhouse in the 700 block of Woodside Creek Drive in Festus, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.

The appliances were valued at about $2,000, he said.

The victim reported the theft at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 17, but the appliances could have been stolen a week or more before, Lewis said.

“The victim said he’d been rehabbing a (unit), but he had been away from it since Sept. 9,” Lewis said. “He noticed kitchen appliances – a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher – had been stolen. He’s not sure how they (the thieves) got in.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
