Arnold Police are investigating a theft from a work van parked outside the Schnucks store, 3900 Vogel Road. The theft happened between 3:10-3:30 p.m. July 21, police reported.
Someone allegedly broke the passenger-side window on the Ford Transit van and stole a laptop and various tools. Fusion Electrical Supply owns the van, the report said.
One of the company’s employees told police he was in the store for about 20 minutes when the break-in and theft happened. The laptop was valued at about $1,200, and the tools at about $150. The damage to the window was estimated at $300, according to a report.
A black BMW, which was occupied by at least three men, was seen fleeing from the parking lot around the time of the alleged theft, and police believe at least one of the men could be responsible for the theft, the report said.
As of July 31, police had not located the BMW or any of its occupants, and none of the stolen items had been recovered, Capt. Rich Shular said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
