The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest in connection with a burglary at a home in the 3800 block of Upper Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart. Items valued at about $7,500 were stolen, police reported.
The victim told deputies he left his home on Nov. 24, 2022, and when he returned at about 4:30 p.m. April 14, he found a rear bedroom window was open. In addition, a bed frame, mattress, two air conditioning units, two bicycles, two wood-burning stoves and tools were missing from the house, according to the report.
Two neighbors told investigators they believed they saw a man and woman at the house at some point in February. However, neither neighbor remembered what day that was, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
As of April 27, none of the stolen items had been recovered, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
