Shane Allison, 42, of unincorporated Fenton has been charged with a felony for allegedly sexually assaulting a blind woman at the 026 Bar and Grill, 515 Gravois Road, in Fenton, according to court records.
On Saturday (Oct. 5), Allison reportedly approached a woman he didn’t know who was sitting at the bar in the St. Louis County establishment, and while the two were talking, he allegedly grabbed her hand and touched her leg. The woman reportedly told Allison several times to stop touching her, but he allegedly did not stop and eventually grabbed her genitals “so hard that she could not remove his hand.” In addition, the alleged attack reportedly caused the woman pain, the probable-cause statement in the case said.
Other people at the bar reportedly saw the alleged abuse and told Allison to leave. He struggled with the witnesses, but ultimately was forced out of the bar, the report said.
After Allison was removed from the business, he allegedly threatened to return later and shoot up the place, the probable-cause statement said.
Police were called to the bar at about 10 p.m., and they found Allison’s wallet, which he had left behind. When officers went to his home in the 300 block of Rocky Drive to arrest Allison later that night, he appeared “highly intoxicated” and allegedly said he didn’t remember what happened at the bar, the report said.
As Allison was being transported to the St. Louis County Jail, he allegedly told police he wanted to know the victim’s name so he could “kill her for doing this to me,” the probable-cause statement said.
The next day, Allison, who previously lived in Arnold, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony punishable by three to 10 years in prison, court documents indicated.
Allison was being held today (Oct. 10) in the St. Louis County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond, court records show.
A bond-reduction hearing in the case is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, and a criminal-setting hearing is set for 9 a.m. Dec. 11, both in front of St. Louis County Div. 33 Associate Circuit Judge Jason David Dodson.
