The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a four-door sedan that appeared to have three men inside it when items were stolen from vehicles in the 1200 block of Timber Creek Lane in Imperial, police reported.

A similar car, which has a driver’s side door that is a different color than the rest of the sedan, was reportedly seen during a similar theft in Herculaneum. Deputies also found mail from a subdivision in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton in the Imperial neighborhood, the report said.

Deputies were called at about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 18 to Timber Creek Lane. Two vehicles had been broken into, and some change and a child’s toy was taken from one of the vehicles, according to the report.

The Sheriff’s Office does not provide estimated values for stolen items.

A witness reported seeing the sedan with the three men inside it, the report said.

As of Nov. 22, no items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
