The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent burglary at a home in the 4500 block of Amy Clark Road east of Hillsboro. It looked like the culprit got into the home through an unlocked window in the front of the house, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told investigators that he left his home at about 8 a.m. May 26 and returned at about 5:30 p.m. to find several items missing, including two televisions, a chainsaw, a push lawnmower, a trimmer, a set of golf clubs and loose change were stolen. The stolen items were valued at $1,935, the report said.
None of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said earlier this month. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
