A building at 3601 Commerce Drive in the Arnold area that used to house the Bambino’s restaurant recently was vandalized. Copper piping was stolen from the building, too, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The burglary was reported about 6:50 p.m. Oct. 4. The victim told deputies that the front door knob of the vacant building was removed and a lock box containing a key was destroyed. Then, the key was used to enter the building from the rear door, the report said.
Inside the building, an electric breaker box was damaged and copper piping was stolen. The damaged breaker box was worth $1,500, the door knob was valued at $32 and the copper piping was worth $1,000, according to the report.
Cpl. Matthew Moore said Friday (Oct. 13) that no items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
