Reba Battles

Reba Battles, 43, of Imperial died July 8 in St. Louis from gunshot wounds, authorities report.

At about 1 a.m., Battles and two other people were outside a home in the 3800 block of Folsom Avenue in south St. Louis, and shots were fired from a black vehicle that drove by, St. Louis Metropolitan Police reported.

Battles was found on the home’s front porch with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

A 31-year-old man was shot in the arm and face and was taken to an area hospital, where he was in stable condition today (July 11). A 28-year-old woman was also there and while she had no visible injuries, she was taken to an area hospital to be checked out, according to a report from St. Louis Police.

The investigation is ongoing, St. Louis Police reported today.

St. Louis Police reported that Battles lived on Folsom Avenue, but according to obituary information submitted by family members, she lived in Imperial.

She is survived by her husband: Teddy Battles Jr. of Hillsboro; her father: Don Hinkle of Cedar Hill; her mother: Wanda Fahland of Farmington; a son: Teddy Battles III of Fenton; and a daughter: Becca Caloia of Fenton.
