A 26-year-old Imperial woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she abandoned a car on Richardson Road near Vogel Road. The woman was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. June 10, Arnold Police reported.
An officer reportedly found the woman walking away from a 2011 Chevrolet Impala on Richardson Road. The front had fallen off the car, the report said.
The woman was walking towards a Circle K gas station, 2001 Richardson Road, when police approached her. At first, she allegedly tried to pull away from an officer, but she was handcuffed without further incident and placed under arrest, according to the report.
The woman appeared intoxicated. In addition, police ran a search on the license plate and learned she had a revoked driver’s license, the report said.
She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released to a sober driver. Arnold Police issued her a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for DWI and driving with a revoked license, Capt. Rich Shular said.
