A 27-year-old Imperial woman was arrested for alleged possession of drugs during a traffic stop in Arnold. At 3:21 p.m. Nov. 22, an officer stopped a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle on Jeffco Boulevard near Dohack Drive because it had expired license plates, Arnold Police reported.

The Imperial woman was driving the car, but she did not have her driver’s license with her. The officer discovered the woman’s license had been suspended, and she also was wanted by the St. Louis County Police Department for driving without proof of insurance. The officer also found five syringes on the floorboard of the car, and the syringes had an unknown substance in them, the report said.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and driving with a revoked license, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
