A 47-year-old Imperial man was arrested after he allegedly threatened people and tried to break into a home they were inside in the 2900 block of Glaize Creek Drive in Imperial, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies were called to the home at about 9:40 p.m. Jan. 11 for a report of a burglary in progress. The man was outside the home when they arrived, the report said.
The man allegedly had kicked at the home’s door, damaging the door frame. The people inside the home said the man threatened to harm them, according to the report.
The Sheriff’s Office did not provide an estimated cost to repair the damaged door.
The man was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where he was booked and released pending the application for charges, the report said.
The Sheriff’s Office will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for burglary and fourth-degree assault, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
