A 41-year-old Imperial man was arrested for allegedly punching another man outside a Phillips 66 gas station in Arnold during a dispute over $1. An officer ran after the alleged assailant, who was riding a bicycle, and took him into custody, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called to the gas station, 3910 Jeffco Blvd., at about 7:05 p.m. Aug. 24. The alleged victim, a 33-year-old Imperial man, told police that the suspect asked him for $1, and after the 33-year-old refused to give it to him, the older man allegedly punched him, the report said.
No injury was reported for the 33-year-old, who was a customer at the gas station.
The alleged assailant left the gas station riding a Mongoose bicycle, and an officer ran after him and stopped him on Telegraph Road. The man already was wanted on a warrant from the Clayton Police, the report said.
The man was taken to the Arnold Police Station, where he was booked and released with summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremey Christopher said.
