A mobile home in the 5800 block of Brookstone Drive in House Springs caught fire Jan. 5. The home was a rental property, and the tenant had moved out, so no one was there when the fire broke out, Antonia Fire Chief Mike Arnhart said.
He said the Antonia Fire Protection District got a call about the fire at 8:11 a.m., and when firefighters arrived on the scene at 8:20 a.m., they could see fire coming from under the home.
The fire was under control within 40 minutes and crews were on scene until 10:17 a.m.
As of today (Jan. 13), the cause of the fire was undetermined, Arnhart said.
He said the Saline Valley, High Ridge and Eureka fire protection districts helped with the call.
