George Edward Wiljeck Jr., 47, of House Springs has been charged with five felonies and a misdemeanor after he allegedly beat up and stabbed a 44-year-old woman in her Arnold home, court records said.

The alleged assault occurred at about 4 p.m. Nov. 23, after Wiljeck showed up at the victim’s home on Trinity Circle in Arnold. The two had been in a relationship for about six months at the time of the incident, the report said.

Wiljeck allegedly kicked in the back door to the woman’s home, causing about $100 in damage. The victim attempted to run out of the home, but Wiljeck allegedly chased her down and grabbed her by the hair, the report said.

He then allegedly hit the victim with a closed fist multiple times on her head before she got away from him. She ran to a deck on the back of the home and screamed for help, but Wiljeck again chased her down, according to the report.

After the victim fell on the patio, Wiljeck allegedly dragged her back into the home and got a knife from the kitchen. He then allegedly attempted to “cause serious bodily injury and or death to the victim,” the probable-cause statement said.

The victim was stabbed and cut on her left hand, leaving her with two cuts on her palm. Wiljeck then allegedly made the woman wash the blood off her hands after forcing her into a bedroom, the report said.

A contractor was working at a nearby house and heard the woman’s cries for help. He told police he saw Wiljeck throw the victim to the patio floor, strike her several times and drag her into the home, according to the report.

The contractor, who called the police, said he saw Wiljeck leave the home before officers arrived, the report said.

According to the police report, the victim had injuries to her head, hand and leg. Also, items in the home were knocked over, the back door was damaged and there was blood tracked around the house. Officers also found the knife allegedly used to cut the victim, the probable-cause statement said.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Wiljeck on Nov. 24 with first-degree domestic assault with serious physical injury, a class A felony, as well as first-degree domestic assault, first-degree burglary and first-degree kidnapping, all three class B felonies; armed criminal action, an unclassified felony; and second-degree property damage, a class B misdemeanor, court documents show.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Wiljeck on Nov. 27, and as of Dec. 9, he was being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $75,000 cash-only bond, according to court records.

Wiljeck has a history of arrests for assault, property damage, drug violations and traffic violations, the report said.

Arnold Police reportedly had a call in October about Wiljeck allegedly assaulting the victim, the probable-cause statement in the case said.

However, it appears no charges were filed in connection with that incident.

Wiljeck also is facing a charge for fourth-degree domestic assault, a class A misdemeanor, after a Nov. 6 incident in House Springs, court records show.

During that incident, the woman Wiljeck allegedly assaulted in the Arnold home had run away from him during an argument. Wiljeck, who lives on Tina Drive in House Springs, followed her to a home on Gravois Road in House Springs and struck a vehicle the woman was in and would not allow her to leave, the probable-cause statement said.

The woman allegedly knocked Wiljeck down while trying to drive away, and she told police she feared for her life. When police arrived, they were able to separate the two without further incident, the report said.

Wiljeck also is facing a class D felony charge for possession of a controlled substance stemming from an October 2019 incident in St. Louis County, court records show.

A class A felony is punishable by 10 to 30 years or life in prison, and a class B felony carries a penalty of five to 15 years in prison. Class D felonies are punishable by up to seven years in prison, and an unclassified armed criminal action charge carries a penalty of no less than three years in prison.

A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in a jail and a possible fine of up to $2,000. A class B misdemeanor carries a penalty of up to six months in prison and a possible fine of up to $1,000.
