A 22-year-old House Springs man was arrested for allegedly cashing a forged check that was stolen from a home in Park Hills. The man was arrested at about 2 a.m. March 2 and allegedly admitted to the forgery while in custody, Arnold Police reported.

The man allegedly cashed the $490 check at a U.S. Bank branch in Arnold and was identified through surveillance footage. He also was wanted in Jefferson County on warrants for burglary and in Crestwood on warrants for receiving stolen property, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

The suspect was booked and released to one of the other law enforcement agencies. Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office for forgery, Jones said.
