A 20-year-old Hillsboro man was arrested after he allegedly waved a gun at a 52-year-old Arnold man after a traffic incident that started at about 10:35 a.m. Nov. 17 on Jeffco Boulevard and ended in the parking lot at Wendy’s, 989 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold Police reported.

The Arnold man told police he was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR on Jeffco Boulevard near Arnold Tenbrook Road when the Hillsboro man, who was driving a 2010 Mazda 3, cut him off. The Arnold man said he followed the Mazda to Wendy’s, where he circled the parking lot while the Hillsboro man parked. The Hillsboro man yelled for the Arnold man to stop following him and then allegedly pulled a pistol from his waistband and waved it toward the Arnold man, the report said.

The Arnold man then drove across Jeffco Boulevard to Chick-fil-A, 1 Arnold Mall, and called police. Officers located the Hillsboro man at Wendy’s, where he was arrested, transported to the Police Station, booked and released with a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for unlawful use of a weapon, according to the report.
