A 47-year-old High Ridge man was arrested for reportedly stealing from the Home Depot store in Arnold and for allegedly resisting arrest. An Arnold Police officer had to use a stun gun to subdue the man, who already was wanted on a warrant from the St. Louis County Police Department, Arnold Police reported.

At 6:45 p.m. June 27, Arnold Police got a call that the man had stolen $140 in merchandise from the store, 3865 Vogel Road, and fled from the store’s loss prevention officer, leaving in a white Chevrolet Avalanche. The Arnold Police officer spotted the vehicle and pulled over the suspect at Richardson and Vogel roads, the report said.

The man allegedly refused to obey the officer’s commands, so the officer used a stun gun on the suspect and took him into custody. The man was taken to the Arnold Police Department, where he was booked and held for St. Louis County Police. Arnold Police also issued summonses to the man to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
