Heath Garret Wibbenmeyer, 31, of Hematite has been sentenced to three years in prison, following charges for driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license, as well as a probation violation, according to court papers.
On Aug. 7, 2008, Wibbenmeyer was found driving under the influence of alcohol on southbound Hwy. 67 at Meyer Road in the Festus area. He also was driving with a revoked license, the report said.
It was his third DWI, court records indicate.
Wibbenmeyer, formerly of Crystal City and Festus, was found driving while intoxicated in October 2005 in Saline County and in July 2001 in De Soto, according to the report.
He pleaded guilty to all those charges and on April 23, 2012, he was sentenced to three years, but the sentence was suspended and he got probation.
However, he violated his probation and on Jan. 17, Jefferson County Div. 2 Circuit Judge Gary P. Kramer executed the three-year term for the 2008 DWI.
Wibbenmeyer also was sentenced to 180 day in jail for driving with a revoked license, but the two terms are to be served concurrently, or at the same time.
In addition, Wibbenmeyer may be released early if he successfully completes a 120-day treatment program, court documents show.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Angela Downing handled the case.
Wibbenmeyer has been charged with a felony for stealing a credit card or letter of credit tied to a June 15, 2013, incident in St. Louis County, and that case is pending.
He previously was convicted for driving with a revoked license and speeding, both misdemeanors, stemming from a May 2005 incident, as well as passing a bad check, a misdemeanor, connected to a March 2003 incident, and felony possession of a controlled substance tied to a June 2001 incident, all in Jefferson County, according to court records.
