The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at a home in the 5800 block of Bear Creek Road in House Springs that is for sale and under contract. A central air-conditioning unit, an electric furnace and a stainless steel dishwasher were stolen, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The burglary was reported about 6 a.m. Aug. 6 after the victim arrived at the home to check on it. It looked like the culprit may have gotten into the home through a garage window and stole the items, which were valued at $5,500, the report said.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said Aug. 19 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
