The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 2002 Harley-Davidson Night Train motorcycle that was stolen from the side of Byrnesville Road in House Springs. The man who had been riding the motorcycle said it had run out gas, police reported.
The man said he ran out of gas near John McKeever Road at about 10:55 p.m. April 29 and had stopped the motorcycle on a gravel drive near Byrnesville Road. He said he then contacted someone for a ride, the report said.
The man said when he returned to where he had parked the motorcycle at about 11:40 p.m., the Harley-Davidson was gone, according to the report.
As of May 1, the motorcycle had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Matt Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the stolen motorcycle to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
