Arnold Police are investigating the theft of two guns and a purse from a car that was broken into outside the Denny’s restaurant, 1203 Drury Lane. The stolen guns were valued at about $1,000, police said.
The theft was reported at about 9:45 a.m. Jan. 28 when a 31-year-old Festus woman discovered the back driver-side window shattered on her 2018 Dodge Charger. The damage to the car was estimated at $400, the report said.
In addition to her purse, the woman said a Glock 26 gun and a Taurus pistol were stolen from the car, according to the report.
As of Feb. 2, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
