The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of items worth between $100,000 and $150,000 from a storage locker at iStorage, 6215 West Outer Road, in Imperial. The theft occurred between June 5 and June 13, the Sheriff’s office reported.

The victim told investigators he was in the process of moving and was storing all of his belongings in two storage units at the business. He said a lock had been cut off and replaced on one of the storage unit’s doors, and when he went inside, he discovered all his belongings missing, the report said.

The victim said 10 rifles, three pistols, electronic equipment, jewelry, tools and other items were removed from the unit. The victim’s other storage unit did not appear to be tampered with and nothing was reported missing from it, according to the report.

As of June 22, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.

It was at least the third theft from the storage business since May 22. The Sheriff’s Office had previously reported the theft of about $40,000 worth of comic books from a unit between May 22 and May 28, as well as about $1,500 worth of items stolen from another unit between May 25 and May 26.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
