The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent theft at House Springs Self Storage in the 6300 block of Hwy. M in House Springs.
Between Jan. 18 and Jan. 21, someone pried open a door to a camper trailer parked at the storage business and stole a Springfield .30-30, lever-action rifle, and a Springfield .30-06, bolt-action rifle, both which had been stored inside, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
In addition, two Marine batteries mounted on the front of the camper were stolen. In all, the stolen items were valued at $1,350, the report said.
As of Monday (Jan. 26), the items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
