The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a 9 mm Beretta and two magazines from an unlocked SUV outside a home on Elmwood Parkway north of Arnold.
The Sheriff’s Office typically does not report approximate values for stolen items. However, it did report the theft is a felony.
The victim said on Jan. 17, he parked his 2019 Chevrolet Suburban outside his home in the 2500 block of Elmwood Parkway. He said he discovered the gun and magazines were stolen at about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 18, the report said.
As of Feb. 5, none of the stolen items had been located, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
