Cash, a gun, and a cell phone were stolen from a 2015 Ford F-350 parked on the Six Flags parking lot, 4900 Six Flags Road, in Eureka. The theft occurred between noon and 10:23 p.m. July 27, Eureka Police reported.
A 43-year-old Poplar Bluff man returned to his pickup and discovered two holes had been punched near the lock on the driver-side door. About $350 in cash, a 9mm Smith and Wesson gun valued at $200 and an iPhone 6 Plus were stolen. However, a tracking app was used to locate the phone, which was found on the side of eastbound I-44. The phone was still in working order, the report said.
As of Aug. 2, the cash and gun had not been recovered, and there were no suspects, Capt. David Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
