Jason Baker, 40, of Imperial, has been indicted for alleged drug trafficking and firearm felonies, the U.S. Attorney’s Office reported.

In September, a grand jury indicted Baker, a prior offender, on charges for possession with the intent to sell methamphetamine, possession of a firearm to help with drug trafficking, and felon in possession of a firearm, all felonies, the report said.

On Feb. 21, Baker was found in St. Louis County with 5 grams or more of methamphetamine, with the intent to distribute it, as well as with a 12-guage pump-action shotgun. He previously had been convicted of at least one felony, so he wasn’t supposed to be have a gun, according to the indictment.

If convicted of the drug trafficking and firearms charges, Baker faces five to 40 years in prison for the drug trafficking charge and up to 10 years for the gun charges, according to court documents.
