Arnold Police are investigating vandalism on the I-55 overpass and the nearby sidewalk along Church Road, where spray-painted words and letters were found. The cost for the Missouri Department of Transportation to remove the graffiti was estimated at $500, police reported.
An officer saw the paint on the overpass at about 8:20 a.m. Nov. 17, and police believe the graffiti was painted overnight between Nov. 16 and 17. The word, “wholesome,” was written in four places on the overpass wall, and a smiley face with the letters, “SB,” were painted on a nearby sidewalk, according to the report.
Lt. Jeremy Christopher said investigators do not know if the words and letters hold any special meaning. He asks anyone with information about the vandalism to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
