A propane furnace and other items were stolen from a home under construction in the 4000 block of Highland Baptist Church Road in the Hillsboro area. The burglary happened between 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 17, and the house did not have a garage door at the time, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
In addition to the furnace, other stolen items included two push brooms, a water softener, a leveling tool, a chop saw, a saw table and a set of ladder jacks. In all, the stolen items were valued at $4,310, in items, a report said.
Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Matthew Moore said Feb. 22 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. He urges anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
